In her own words...
I came to the WRRC with many mixed emotions. I was confused, upset, angry and lonely, just to name a few. I honestly didn't initially want to go to the WRRC, but realized I was at a point in my life where I was so hopeless, and felt as if I were going crazy. I received a warm welcome, something I needed, and that warm welcome was just the beginning. For several months I received weekly support both in one-on-one counselling sessions and support from other women while I was a part of a group. I feel like a completely different person. As my journey continues, I feel more confident and comfortable in my own skin. I feel excited once again about my life. Most importantly I feel worthy, which is something I hadn't felt while I was in my past relationship. I've grown immensely and continue to do so every day. If it wasn't for the WRRC and all of the support I've received, I know I wouldn't be where I am today. The best part is knowing that when I need someone to talk to, the WRRC is always here for me.
