Funding

WRRC receives a large portion of our funding under contract from the Province of Ontario Ministry of Community and Social Services ("MCSS") to provide services and programs to abused women.

We are very conscious that we are funded by your tax dollars and take our responsibility to you very seriously.  You elected our government to carry out your will: your will was their support for local women’s services.  As a result, our contract with the government provides about 85% of our annual operating budget.

Our accountability to the community for our funding is overseen by our Board of Directors.  Our external auditor is Don Pearson from Woods Pearson in Forest, Ontario.
