The Development Committee is the only committee of the Board and is responsible to oversee public communications for the agency and establish the fundraising plan.

Committee Members:  Include three members of the Board of Directors, the Executive Director and community volunteers.  Term for committee membership is a minimum of 1 year.  Committee members may also participate on specific event committees i.e. IQ Challenge, Daisy of Hope etc.

Fundraising:  Some of the fundraising activities include direct mail out, event functions such as IQ Challenge, BBQ’s, Daisy of Hope campaign each May, etc.

Communications:  The committee establishes goals and develops action plans to raise the agency profile and communicate the results to the public.  Assists with development of media related planning.

Time Requirements The committee meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm in the WRRC board room.  We do most of our planning in meetings and look for full participation from all members.  Other time requirements include attending fundraising activities, meetings to plan the activities, special events, and orientation sessions.
